Time for some scary spring reading! Are you ready?!

Remember, The one main"rule"of Spring into Horror is that you must read at least ONE scary book (which can be a thriller, mystery, Gothic novel, or similar for those who are faint of heart). I hope you will indulge the scary beyond the one book, but that is entirely up to you. It is all about the reading after all.

2024 Spring into Horror Readathon - Sign-up time!

What do you do when you can't have a second Halloween? Why, Spring into Horror, of course! I love this event, second only to FrightFall. Plus, April 30 is halfway to Halloween!

We start at 12:00 am eastern time on April 1st and end at 11:59 pm eastern time on April 30th. (There is a handy link to a time zone converter in the sidebar menu.) I hope you're ready to get your scary on! Guidelines for the readathon can be found HERE or you can access in the sidebar menu. Any information you need about the readathon can be found there. Please do be sure to check the guidelines to make sure you're following along correctly. There are specific rules regarding sign up and wrap up, especially in regards to the giveaway.

2024 Winter's Respite Readathon - That's a wrap

Is that spring I hear around the corner? Not too much longer. I'm a fall/winter girl, but trying to stay more positive about the warmer months. Wish me luck!

I hope everyone enjoyed the readathon. Also, sending out a big thanks to those who joined in on the 24-Hour readathon on the 17th. Going forward, we are still going to do one 24-Hour readathon during each month long readathon. However, I will designate the date, as they do with Dewey's 24-Hour event. Since Dewey's is in April on the 13th, we will do our 24-Hour event during Spring into Horror on April 27th at 10:00 am EDT.

Wrapping up

To wrap up, go to the link for the wrap-up and giveaway form at the end of this post and fill it out, including a link to your wrap-up (whether it's a blog post, a Goodreads shelf, social media status...anything goes, as long as I can see you did indeed participate). You will also indicate which prize(s) you would like a chance at winning in the form (the charity donation prize will now be done at the end of the readathon). Be sure to double check that your name is listed in the sign up/starting line linky at this post so you will be eligible for the giveaway. You have until Wednesday, March 6th at 11:59 pm EST to fill out the form. I will email the winner within a few days following the deadline so keep a look out in your email inbox (or spam folder, just in case) for an email from my truebookaddict gmail account.

New addition starting this year. We will have one 24-hour readathon during the month long readathon. This will work much like Dewey's 24-hour Readathon (if you're familiar). It will be on a Saturday, but will start at 10:00 am eastern time instead of 8:00 am (you start according to your time zone...there's a time zone converter link in the blog menu) and will go for a full 24 hour period. You can participate as much or as little as you like. Leave your vote for which Saturday in the comments below. I'm not including this coming Saturday since it's only a couple of days away.
